The Takahashi BRC-250 Baker Ritchey-Chretien Flat Field is designed with professionals in mind. Thanks to Takahashi's unique technique for polishing non-spherical surfaces the company is able to mass-produce telescopes that utilize both the Ritchey-Chretien optical system and the Baker method to flatten the view over a wide field. This telescope employs non-spherical surfaces for both primary and secondary mirrors. By combining them with a pair of supplementary lenses spherical aberrations comas and astigmatism are all eliminated with a flat field.Features include a focal ratio of f/5 with a 100mm five-degree-diameter image circle 250mm aperture two-micron stellar image at the center of the field and large 100mm diameter image. The BRC-250 makes a versatile astrograph accommodating 35mm 6x7 6x9 and 4x5-inch formats.
