The Old West Alabaster Chess Pieces
The Old West is an interesting set with a lot of history behind it. You will appreciate the great detail put into each piece from the feathers on the indians to the horses' maines. Artists from Italy individually hand craft and paint each piece from a material called Oxo-Teak. Oxo-Teak is made of a special compound composed mainly of crushed alabaster. Alabaster is a material that resembles ivory. These pieces have very fine detail that offers a realistic depiction of the American West.
