The PBY Catalina was a successful search-and-rescue aircraft and universally recognized for its ability and reliability. It flew in both European and Far Eastern theaters. In World War II the U.S. Navy used long-range flying boats to patrol the vast expanses of ocean and look for the enemy. No other flying boat was produced in greater numbers or for as long a time as the PBY. A true work of art this plane is handcrafted from solid mahogany and hand painted.
