The forearm and shaft are coated in McDermott's imported European organic-pigment stain which provides wonderful uniform saturation of the wood and consistent color. Maple index inlays accent the areas surrounding the butt and joint of the cue for added aesthetic appeal.This cue features the exclusive McDermott Impact Control Ring made from a polymer matrix composite developed by NASA.
