These studs are applied one at a time by hand by talented craftsmen. Decorative top stitching forms a diamond pattern on the backrests and gives these pieces texture and style. You will love the soft supportive comfort of the individual seating spaces and the slightly worn appearance on all edges.The UpholsteryAntiqued Vintage semi-aniline leather is used on the Samuel Leather collection for a classic burgundy-hued look. Aniline means that the leather is colored through and through and has a light protective coat of polyurethane on the surface. This offers excellent resilience against wear and tear. Common household stains can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. The grain texture on this leather is natural and antiqued and is designed for a distressed look and feel. You may notice some color and grain variations between each piece and sometimes within the same piece. These are natural characteristics and should not be considered unusual.Frame Springs and CushionsBeech and Ash woods provide the frame for this collection. They are selected at source and seasoned for at least 2 years to ensure long-term durability. All corners and load-bearing areas are additionally secured with heavy-duty corner blocks for added strength. Upon frame construction the entire thing is encased in 1-inch foam so all you feel is softness. Heavy-duty nine-gauge sinuous springs are placed 2 inches apart and attached to the frame using heavy-duty clips. Five steel springs per seat ensure the strength comfort and durability of the seat cushions. Heavy-duty European elastic webbing supports the back cushions. This material holds 720 pounds per square inch. Seat cushions feature polyurethane foam cores with a high-quality Dacron topper on the surface for comfort. Back cushions are composed of Dacron fiber which is blown into vertically and horizontally channeled bags to ensure the proper amount is blown the same each time.The leather color may vary slightly from the image shown due to the fact that leather is a natural product.
