This exquisite piece is part of DeBrekht's Derevo Collection which debuted in 1999 and features limited editions of high-quality hand-painted ornaments and decorations.The Floral Angel Figurine is created using a very special wood-based resin material. Each piece is hand-poured from a hand-carved original and the duplicates are so finely detailed that even the woodcarver cannot distinguish them from the original. A small group of artists each trained in the Russian techniques of decoration and story painting has meticulously hand-painted each figurine to create an exact likeness of the original. This painting is done free-hand in three to nine layers of color resulting in a rich color palette reminiscent of the ones used in Russian art villages. Because of the strict attention to detail that goes into creating each of these figurines quantities are limited. Each edition takes two to three years to create.The Floral Angel Figurine is ideal for a gift at a wedding or birth and is sure to be treasured as an heirloom for years to come.
