In order to ship this mattress in an economical manner and to reduce the amount of shipping expense this eight inch thick mattress is compressed to 1/4th its size allowing for a more efficient shipping method to be used rather than a common carrier while at the same time ensuring that the Luxury Twin Mattress will retain its initial comfort and support for many years to come.
