Vertical and horizontal bars on the sides are perfect for vines to climb and the sparse slatted roof adds a tropical flair. Constructed of Balau wood it's durable and weather-resistant. Balau is an extremely dense oil-rich tropical hardwood. From Southeast Asia Balau's strength and weather-resistance make it perfect for use in outdoor furniture. Balau is very similar to teak but is said to be denser strong and more durable. It also has a warmer deep honey hue. This wood should be cleaned and treated annually to retain the natural wood color.
